My apologies

If it seems like I’m not all there these days, it’s because I’m not. Yesterday I walked into the wall at quite a fast clip – not once, but twice – no lie. I’ve got blank stares and awkward silence down pat and I’ve got this crazy annoying right eye twittering going on. It’s like my eyelid won’t stop convulsing. It’s almost normal for me to leave the house with a cheerio pasted to my hoodie, some drool on my shoulder, my Red Sox hat on (to hide the fact that I haven’t showered), and a sticker in my hair. I think it’s fair to say that I’m a mess.

Last night I went to bed early at 11:30 and was up 5 times before 6:45. Adden ate three times, Selah lost her pacifier once, and they both needed diapers changed. Yikes. It’s been excruciating to get out of bed in the mornings and I’m a morning person. Yesterday the only thing that got me up was Selah standing next to the bed in nothin’ but a diaper. Our independent little woman had taken her jammies off and had picked out her clothes for the day (another pair of jammies, by the way, with kitties on them.)

Ahhh… I am looking forward to a good night of sleep, a nice long shower, and the ability to function normally. The thing is, I know I’m going to miss these days when they’re older. Guess I better treasure even eye jitters and maybe try to take a nap while I can.

OHHHH KRISTIN!!!!!!!! Your words that you chose to describe yourself were so descriptive. I enjoyed a great laugh, not because I was laughing at your morning, but because I was just enjoying you, your children, and watching it all happen in my mind's eye. I have SOO enjoyed reading what you have been writing. I miss spending time together, and have loved seeing your heart in your writings. I can't wait to grow up and be just like you!
Your other posts have just been so great, so soul bearing. I really wish I could take the time to look at myself, look at the world, and write about it.
YEAH for Children's Church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(there are so many things that I'm saying in those exclamation points, ones you understand, ones I don't have to say...)

it will get easier. I promise. Now I never did the toddler and baby stage that you're in, but I have done two toddlers and it's not that bad, in fact, it's quite clear, I WILL look back at these days and miss them. I miss them almost as soon as their over. I think toddlers are awesome.
In fact I petitioned brent for adding another one to our brood this weekend. He responded with "hell no".
Well, at least he's clear!
Once you're getting more sleep...ah it'll be so much better.

On a side note.... walking into a wall, twice? you're too much.
