Pray for Zimbabwe

I received this email from my friend Kirsten. Being a native of South Africa, she has a good pulse of what is going on in Africa as a whole. Here is what she writes:

Please keep Zimbabwe in your prayers this week as they head off for round 2 of the presidential elections.

I found this frightening quote in the latest issue of Time Mag. "We are not going to give up our country for a mere X on a ballot. How can a ballpoint pen fight with a gun?" Robert Mugabe, President of Zimbabwe refusing to cede power to opponent Morgan Tsvangirai regardless of the results of a June 27 runoff election.

I think it illustrates how evil a man can be and we need to pray for God to intervene and bring peace to Zimbabwe and her people who are currently starving and suffering gross human rights violations.
