Prayer / Encouragement Request

To all of you faithful and casual readers of this wonderful blog:

My name is Paul. I am Kristin's husband and I have hijacked her blog for this post.

Please pray for Kristin. She is currently in the hospital recoving from emergency surgery due to a rupture from an ectopic pregnancy. I am sure Kristin will fill you in with more details once she gets a chance, but know that she made it through and is improving. There have been many blessings along the way which I am sure she will share about as well.

Since this blog has been encouragement to so many of you, I thought that this would be a good chance for you to return the favor. Please leave a word of encouragement as a comment to this post. I will be sure to share them with Kristin until she is able to see them herself.

Since Kristin won't be online very frequently to moderate comments manually, I added word verification to cut down on spam, so sorry for that inconvenience.

Thanks!

UPDATE(8/17/2008-6:30pm): Thank you for all of the encouragement! We are sitting in the hospital right now waiting for the green light to go home. Though Kristin is about to head home, she still has a long recovery ahead. Please continue to pray for healing and strength.

If you would like to help with meals... if you are from the Portersville area, please contact Rob (robmille@yahoo.com) and if you are a friend from MOPS, please contact Brandy (brandy@kikerkids.com).

Kristin, Paul, Selah, and Adden,
I do not have the words to share with you the way my heart ache's for you. I share and understand your pain and know that despite this, you will overcome. I know this experience will only make you stronger in your faith and stronger in your family. Many prayers are with you.

Isaiah 41:10 - Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand."

May God's Word bring you hope and encouragement today and always.

All my love,
Brandy Kiker

Kristin and Paul,
I would like to set up meals to be brought to you from the women in MOPS when Kristin is able to return home. If this is something you would like and that would help you, please let me know.

Portersville loves you guys so much, you don't even know! I wish I knew how to write how odd some of the text messages I've gotten the last 24 hours are in light of this, but somehow right in line with what I would expect from Paul! I think I should say that we had BETTER not see Paul tomorrow @ Sunday morning service or evening Youth Group. Lee has a real "doozie" from what I hear anyway. I am, and we are praying for you all of you.

please know that in this incredibly difficult time we are constantly praying for you. my heart is breaking for you and it is my prayer that you will be filled with the peace of our heavenly Father. please let me know what i can do-- look through an album with selah (or let her take out my earrings), tickle adden (that's about as close as he'll let me get right now), make some pad thai for dinner, anything. i will be here for you however i can help (truly).

Kristin, Paul, Adden, & Selah,

Words cannot express what I want ot say to you. My prayers are with you. If I can do anything to help, please let me know. I'd be there to talk, to just sit with Kristin, to watch the kids, fix a meal, or whatever you need.

Love ya.

Paul and Kristin,

I just want to say that I have no idea what it's like to go what you two are going through, but I just want to say that I am praying, and I will continue to do so for a while. You guys have been major encouragements to me in the past and I thank God for you two and your amazing family.

Your kids are so blessed to have awesome parents like you guys, and I can't wait to see how God uses them!

I want to leave a few verses for you guys that mean a lot to me, maybe they will be of some comfort :)

Lamentations 3:22-24

God is good, all the time.

For those interested in providing a meal, the Doctor's should be letting us know what Kristin can/should have before they get home. I am trying to coordinate w/ the inlaws so we can have meals that are acceptable provided, since I don't see Paul/Kristin actually outright accepting offers themselves. Paul's mother said they could definitely use for the first week at least, so if you let me know you are interested, I can start scheduling, and provide directions, etc if you don't have. This comment better not get deleted!!!!!

Thanks to all for your thoughts, prayers, and expressions of love. I'm sure Paul & Kristin appreciate them very much!

Kristin, Paul, Adden, and Selah,

Like Greg said, I have no idea how it feels to go through what you're going through. But I want you to know that I'm here for you...don't hesitate to call me if you need anything (724-841-1788). I will be praying every day for you and I know with all my heart that God is faithful and he will bring you through this. You will be so much stronger in your faith and as people. Kristin, you have been SO encouraging to me with everything I've gone through...thank you. I hope I can be the same way for you. God bless you guys. I love you!

oh kristin. I've been away and have just seen this post. I am so sorry for the pain and hurt you are feeling right now. I don't know what you're feeling but will pray that God will be your comfort, your provider, your healer, your Peace, your Father and your God. Give your sorrow and pain to Him, He is the one who can bear your burdens and turn them into joy.
I love you and am praying.
