From April 26th to May 2nd, five bloggers will witness firsthand the ministry of Compassion International to the poor of East India. Visit this page to hear the stories, see pictures, and watch videos from Kolkata. I have followed bloggers like these on previous trips and the stories have been incredible.
Ranking high on my dream list is to visit our children one day, especially Ruth. I want to give her a hug and hear her stories and tell her that she is beautiful. One day, we'll step foot into Bolivia and we'll get to do just this. One day we'll learn more about a breathtaking God from His daughter on the other side of the world. One day.

Also pencilled in on the dream list is to go on one of these blogging trips. God, children, writing, justice, travel, stories, love, and hope all tangled up. Not sure what could top that. Someday when the kids are older. And, well, if I get chosen. That's sorta required.

a few weeks ago i came across angie smith's blog. she is one of the bloggers on the compassion trip you are talking about in this post. so... i've been following the compassion blog as well as her personal blog. just in case you were wondering. :-)

i had no idea who angie smith was. that's cool. didn't know about melissa either. i think i saw a pic of beth on her blog once and didn't put two and two together.
